DESIGN OF AN ASPIRATION AND COLLECTION SYSTEM

I executed a bachelor’s thesis to determine an appropriate dust aspiration system for Inversiones CV C.A., a Venezuelan packaging and distributing company of lump charcoal. This was with the objective of solving an air pollution issue in the packaging process. First, we analyzed the working conditions like the pollution level and the productive process, the properties of the charcoal dust, and necessities of the company. Second, we determined of the technical, operational and economic feasibility. Finally a model of system composing of a receptor hood, a duct system, an explosion-proof pulse-jet bag filter and a centrifugal fan was proposed.

STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE CREATION A "SWEET POTATO BISCUIT" MANUFACTURER

I executed a master´s report to design a strategic plan for creating a sweet potato biscuit manufacturer, using a structural analysis and the balanced scorecard. This was done by analyzing the external and internal factors of future company by the means of interviews based on the Porter's five forces model and a questionnaire (in which 100 adults from Barquisimeto, VE were interviewed) based on the 6Ps of marketing mix. This study pointed out to implement the eight strategies contained in a strategic map for the creation of the potential company. This report was awarded with the Publication Mention Award by the UNEXPO.
